Steindl Metallverarbeitung
- 3D component generated entirely in code
- Machine park as a filterable explorer
- Enquiry form with drawing upload

The screenshots show the German version of the website.
- Company
- Steindl Metallverarbeitung GmbH
- Industry
- CNC machining
- Location
- Durlangen near Schwäbisch Gmünd
- Status
- Fully developed and tested locally, not yet published
Starting point
- The previous website ran on a site builder and showed no images of the company's own production.
- Most AI crawlers were locked out via robots.txt, so the company could hardly appear in AI search.
- The task: a buyer should see within seconds what is manufactured and be able to request a part, drawing included.
Concept
Technical precision
- The website speaks the language of the technical drawing: title block, dimension lines, sharp edges and the blue from the company logo.
- Instead of interchangeable stock photos, the central images are generated in code. They are labelled as sample geometry and claim nothing the company cannot back up.
- Every specialist page first answers a buyer's question: can they make this, and how do I enquire?
Experience

One component explains the company
In the opening section a turned and milled part rotates, shows drilling, turning, milling and threading, separates into layers with its tool path and closes again.
Reverse engineering in six steps
From the existing part through 3D scan and CAD model to the finished replica: the 3D part runs through the steps, and one click jumps straight to any of them.
A machine park you can search
Ten machines and processes in four categories, each with a detail view, a sample part and a drawn working envelope.
Enquiry with drawing
The form accepts up to five files (PDF, STEP, DXF, DWG and images) and also works without JavaScript.
Technology
- Next.js 16 and React 19, public pages rendered statically
- Three.js used directly, without model files: the geometry is generated in code
- GSAP with ScrollTrigger, loaded only when needed
- German and English with translated addresses
- Its own cookieless statistics with an admin view
SEO and GEO
- Structured data for LocalBusiness, Service, FAQ and breadcrumbs
- An /llms.txt generated from the same data as the pages
- AI crawlers explicitly allowed, admin area and interfaces blocked
- Short-answer blocks on the service pages
- Redirects from the old addresses
Checked
There are no committed measurement reports for this project, so no figures are shown here.
- Playwright tests in Chromium, Firefox without WebGL, WebKit and on mobile
- A still image instead of animation with reduced motion, a line drawing without WebGL
- Uploads checked by file extension and file signature, with a limit on requests over time
