Starting point
- The previous site ran on a website builder.
- Padel is new to many people. The website has to explain the game before anyone books a court.
- The task: prices, opening hours and booking at a glance, in German and English.
Concept
Pace and play
- Colours and shapes come from the hall: night blue, the cobalt of the court, the yellow-green of the ball, very wide type.
- One page, one goal: book a court. Booking is reachable from anywhere, on mobile as a fixed button.
- Prices and content live in simple files so they can be changed without touching the code.
Experience

A court that draws itself
Floor, lines, net, glass walls and fence appear one after another, then a rally begins. As you scroll, the camera rises to a top-down view.
Padel in four steps
Serve, rally, glass, point: the ball traces the paths and the score changes. It runs by itself but can also be clicked.
Deliberately without WebGL
The court is drawn on a 2D canvas with its own perspective calculation. That saves an entire 3D library: the home page weighs 289 KiB.
Technology
- Astro 7 as a static website, no server required
- Its own perspective projection on canvas instead of a 3D library
- GSAP with ScrollTrigger, loaded only when idle
- German and English
- Contact form with a small PHP mailer; nothing is stored
SEO and GEO
- Structured data for SportsActivityLocation with address, opening hours and booking action
- FAQ data on the home page, an /llms.txt with facts and prices
- Language references between German and English
- Permanent redirects from the old addresses
