SEO and GEO: visible in Google and in AI search
Customers no longer search only on Google. They ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or the AI overview in search results. For your business to appear there, and to be described correctly, your website has to state clearly who you are, where you are and what you offer.
A good fit if …
People searching for your service in your area do not find you.
AI assistants name your competitors but not you.
Information about your business is inconsistent across the web.
What you get.
Technical foundation
Page titles, descriptions, headings, sitemap, canonical addresses and short loading times.
Local visibility
Consistent name, location and contact details, and content with a real connection to your region, not copied city pages.
Structured data
Machine-readable information about your business, services and frequently asked questions.
Content for AI search
Clear answers to the questions customers actually ask, in the page text and not hidden away.
llms.txt and crawlers
A factual overview for AI systems and a robots.txt that admits search and AI crawlers but blocks private areas.
What this looks like in practice.
Three websites for businesses in the region, each with an idea of its own.
Steindl Metallverarbeitung
A machining company that makes one-off parts from a batch size of one, explained through a component that takes itself apart into its machining steps as you scroll.
MK Karosserie
A workshop that works the metal instead of just swapping parts, shown through a bare body shell that is repaired as you scroll.
TheCourt Padel
Four indoor courts in Schwäbisch Gmünd, with a court that draws itself in the opening section and a rally that explains the rules.
Quick answers.
What is GEO for websites?
GEO stands for generative engine optimisation: preparing a website so that AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity or the AI overviews in search results can find a business, understand it and describe it correctly. What matters are unambiguous facts in the page text, structured data and crawlers that are allowed to read the site.
How do you optimise a website for AI search engines?
First, the crawlers of the AI services must be allowed to read the site. Second, the important facts (who, where, what, how to enquire) must be in the HTML and not appear only through scripts. Third, structured data, short direct answers to typical questions and an /llms.txt file as a factual summary all help.
Do you guarantee the top spot on Google?
No. Nobody can guarantee rankings. I make sure your website is technically clean, unambiguous in its content and easy for search systems to read. That is the precondition for being found.
Show me your website. I’ll tell you what it could be.
Tell me what you have in mind, or simply send me the address of your current website. You will hear back from me personally.
